ART DECO CUBE
OBJECTIVE
At NIU, I was assigned an art movement and the challenge was to design a cube according to that style. While designing a cube with an Art Deco style, I managed to accomplish a “streamlined” look, paying attention to clean, geometric shapes and using a variety of rich colors.
COLOR SYSTEM
Art deco is notorious for its decadent color palettes, leaning towards rich and saturated tones. For my cube, I chose to use a deep blue along with a red for the primary shapes around the cube, and complemented these with a custom gold gradient.
